Daniella Zanayed - Founder of Daniella Designz
My experience at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business was instrumental in shaping my marketing career and ultimately led to the founding of Daniella Designz Branding Agency.
Daniella Designz began my Freshman year at Loyola. Like many others, I was looking for a way to pass the time while chronically at home, and Daniella Designz was born. I started small by only designing laptop and phone wallpapers. As my business and passion for entrepreneurship evolved, I became more confident, pivoting my business to something more sustainable: brand design.
The supportive community at Loyola fostered my entrepreneurial spirit and encouraged me to take risks, such as changing my entire business model. With this, I began teaching myself graphic design after classes to successfully build my business from the ground up. Throughout my undergraduate career, I built Daniella Designz into a branding agency specializing in creating timeless and elegant logos for passionate entrepreneurs. I was so passionate about my business that I wanted to help other business owners build their dream brands from the ground up. I have designed over 450 logos/branding kits over the past four years and will continue to design more brands built on passion. It is exciting to look back at where I started, designing $25 logos for fun and now turning this hobby into being a professional graphic designer.
However, I wouldn't have been able to do so without the help of the Quinlan School of Business. In particular, Quinlan’s Next Founders Club helped me meet peers at Loyola who had this same passion and love for entrepreneurship that kept pushing me through. In addition, the rigorous coursework provided a strong foundation in marketing principles and creative design, allowing me to blend analytical thinking with artistic expression. However, one of the most valuable experiences at Loyola was my ability to collaborate with diverse teams during group projects, which honed my communication and leadership skills, which are vital in the agency world. Post-college, I see myself utilizing all of these skills on a day-to-day basis, and I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help, support, and education that the Quinlan School of Business provided.
